Below are the answers to the most frequently asked questions. Of course, if there is no answer to your question here, please don’t hesitate to contact us - weeridesa@gmail.com

It is the original center-mounted bike seat and it's a product made to the highest standards. It meets EU safety standards, unlike most of the other seats on the market. The Weeride Kangaroo carrier is like a child car seat but for bicycles!

It's safer, more enjoyable and will not affect your riding. 

The seat is tested with weight up to 50kg’s but we recommend that 25kg is the weight limit. The weight limits set in the EU is 15kgs and 18kgs in the US. They are set low as they are based on seats that attach to the handlebars where it is clearly dangerous to have too much weight. Our seat doesn’t attach in this way which is why it is unique and made to carry a heavier load. It actually improves the balance of the bike as the patented bar puts all the baby weight in the center of the bike. Weight is never the factor that stops a child using the seat, it is height. This normally occurs at aged 4.

Our standard delivery time is 3/4 working days. Cut off is midday for courier collections, though email us to see if we can squeeze a late order in.

We do not deliver or ship at weekends.

The Weeride Kangaroo carrier will fit 90% of bicycles. We have rarely found a bike that the products do not work with unless your bike has an oversized headset. If you are unsure, send us the name of your bike and a picture to weeridesa@gmail.com, and we can advise you. Alternatively, there are adaptors that can be ordered.

The seat is suited for children aged 9 months to 4 years. As long as the child can hold their head up independently. I have known kids from 6 months to 5 years to use the seat! Weight is never an issue. Height is. They will get to a stage where their legs are interfering with the handlebars. This is normally around aged 4/5.

Via our website is the quickest way. We are based in Johannesburg.

Our online store will tell you if the item is in stock. If not in stock, we will try and give a date of when it will be available.

The pivot controls the movement of the tag-a-long behind your bike, which makes it the most important part. Our patented hitch gives a consistent movement – left or right and up and down, unlike other manufacturers.

We have our spares listed on our site, and you can order them online from us. If we do not have availability in the country, there will be a slight delay while we ship the part over.

Returns
We have a no quibble returns policy, provided there has been no tampering or damage to the unit. We have 100% belief in our products, and if for some reason you don’t agree, just email us and we will arrange the return. The request must be made within 14 days of purchase unless the extension agreed with WeeRide SA, and the return postage cost is for the consumers. If you return your seat and it isn’t in perfect condition and in its original packaging, we reserve the right to reduce your return payment by a refurb fee. If you have a faulty product, we will collect and replace it.
